## `SAMPLE` [esql-sample]

The `SAMPLE` command samples a fraction of the table rows.

**Syntax**

SAMPLE probability
```

**Parameters**

`probability`
:   The probability that a row is included in the sample. The value must be between 0 and 1, exclusive.
